Alice Hernandez's journey is a captivating blend of spiritual leadership, military service, and educational innovation. As a proud Texan and graduate of The University of Texas, Alice's path has been anything but ordinary.

After completing her studies at Austin Seminary in 2008, Alice was ordained in the Presbyterian Church (U.S.A.) in 2009. Her commitment to service led her to join the United States Air Force Reserves as a Chaplain Candidate while still in seminary.

Alice's career has been marked by a series of strategic moves and professional growth. She honed her skills through a hospital chaplain residency in Tyler, Texas, before relocating to South Carolina to pursue certification as an Educator of Clinical Pastoral Education. During her time in Columbia, she balanced her full-time responsibilities at Prisma Health with a part-time role as Associate Pastor at Downtown Church (PCUSA), demonstrating her ability to juggle multiple demanding positions.

In 2019, Alice's journey came full circle as she returned to her Texas roots, taking on the role of Manager of Clinical Pastoral Education at Parkland Health. However, her adaptability and drive for new challenges led her to transition away from hospital ministry after 15 years, embarking on a new chapter in her career.

Currently, Alice serves as the Wing Chaplain to the 507th Air Refueling Wing at Tinker Air Force Base in Oklahoma City, showcasing her continued commitment to military service. She has also embraced the digital age, supervising virtual units of Clinical Pastoral Education as the Director of AWH Center for Spiritual Care.

Alice's diverse roles extend to her position as a Parish Associate Pastor for First Presbyterian Church of Richardson, where she leads committees focused on congregational life and belonging. This multifaceted approach to her career demonstrates her dedication to nurturing spiritual growth and community connections in various settings.

On a personal note, Alice's life is enriched by her family. She met her husband Paul during seminary, and together they have a daughter named Reagan. The Hernandez household is completed by their spirited, vocal canine companion, Diego, adding both love and humor to their daily lives.
